Garden of Eatin' -- Games and PuzzlesThe children will hear how the baby, Moses, was saved by five women working together throughout his young life. They will practice working together as they use a variety of cooperative games & puzzles, including tangrams. Acts of the Apostles -- Drama and StorytellingAfter trying some dramatic improvisation activities, the children will hear the story of baby Moses and the women who cared for him. They will have an opportunity to consider the feelings of the women and why they did what they did. How Great Thou Art -- ArtOur children will help tell the story of baby Moses using the much-loved flannel board. As they consider the many people who care for them today, they will weave their own Moses basket. World Without End -- A/V WorkshopThe children will view a short section of the movie The Prince of Egypt to learn the conditions at the time that led to Moses’ mother placing him in the river. In observing Moses’ caretakers, they will think about their own caretakers and identify some in our own congregation. Class will conclude with a series of “Caretaker Interviews”. Kingdom.com -- Computer LabChildren will use software to learn the story of Moses as a baby and the wonderful way that God worked in his life. When the child grew up, his mother took him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and she took him as her son. She named him Moses, “because,” she said, “I drew him out of the water.” -Exodus 2:10
