Confirmation

The Confirmation Class of 2005 receives a blessing.
At Grace Presbyterian, students meet together with volunteer leaders to claim their own faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Leaders encourage the students to better articulate that faith. We want students to affirm their reliance on God’s grace, to understand the theology and history of the Presbyterian Church, and the responsibilities of becoming a member of Grace Presbyterian. Throughout the year, the confirmands (grade 9 or above) attend a ten-week class during the Sunday School hour, do work on their own, and meet with their own mentor to build a relationship and explore the church. Each year’s class culminates with a Confirmation celebration with the entire congregation at the end of spring. Some of the students will be baptized and profess their faith publicly for the first time, and come away with a greater understanding of what it means to be part of the Body of Christ.
The Confirmation Class of 2006 will convene on November 6, 2005, to begin team-building. During formal classroom time, meetings are in room 203 during the Sunday School hour, and we are delighted our instruction will be led by our own Reverend Wendy Fenn.
