GREAT ESCAPE
Middle School- Gunnison, CO, June 18-24, 2005
We left for Great Escape, a middle school retreat created by PFR, on a Saturday morning on a chartered bus to Western State University in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. We spent the next four mornings and evenings singing praise with Curt Dubose, listening to seminars, and participating in small group discussions, all focused on how and why Jesus Christ gave his life so we can live forever with him. Afternoons are filled with outdoor activities so we can enjoy God’s wondrous creation in nature. Our time was spent white water rafting, horseback riding, shopping in Crested Butte, hiking, scavenger hunts, and the infamous “shaving cream war.” Late Thursday evening we were back on the road through Amarillo back home to Plano. Will our lives ever be the same? We hope not!
