Fun in the Son
High School- South Padre Island, TX- July 9-15, 2005
What is disguised as a fun vacation on South Padre Island in the heat of the summer actually turns out to be a life event- teens from around the state convene for a week of Fun in the SON. Sure, we toast in the sun and surf, play volleyball and sports, sculpt sand, and jam to awesome music. But every year we return from what we term “Padre” with closer ties between us, a better individual understanding of how we should lead our lives in Christ, and rejuvenated in the spirit. Noone is unaffected, for the speakers, musicians, youth sponsors, pastors, and staff are all there for one reason- to help the youth focus on the fact of God’s grace through the death of His son on the cross. Take the time to investigate this conference held by Presbyterians for Renewal, because it could make a lasting impression on you? it could even change your life.
