Music Opportunities for Youth
Stephanie Scott
The youth of our church play a dynamic role in the life of the church. Music provides a wonderful entry point into the heart of the church - worship. What a pleasure it is to watch young men and women developing their faith through music. Music is one of the strongest means of expressing our love for God and for each other.

Exultation

Tracy DePue, Director

Exultation exists to nurture the spiritual growth of young people and minister to others through song.  The choir is made up of a dynamic group of youth in grades 6 through 12.  Exultation sings each week at the 8:30 a.m. service.

Participation in this choir provides the opportunity for new dimensions in Christian growth through learning Scripture, serving the Lord and the Church through regular participation and witnessing to the love of Christ through music sung as worship leaders.  The choir takes an annual tour in early June, giving members a chance to witness their faith and develop new and lasting relationships.  Exultation also has a recording "A Vessel in Your Hands" available through the music ministry.

Rehearsals are each Sunday 5:15 – 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Credo

Tracy DePue, Director

This handbell choir is open to students in high school.  Credo participates in worship on a regular basis and prepares for special concerts as well.  In January, the group often participates in a local handbell festival.  In the summer of 2001, Credo toured in Greece and received rave reviews.

Rehearsals are each Sunday from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Please phone the Director of Music Ministry if you are interested.

Tintinnabulators

Stephanie Rhoades, Director

This handbell choir is open to students in middle school.  They participate in worship on a regular basis and prepare for special concerts.  This group concentrates on reading skills and learning basic handbell techniques.

They rehearse from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. each Sunday in the sanctuary.
