Grace Presbyterian Church began as an idea and a dream by another local church.
With their help, we started as a few people meeting in the home of Reverend Cleve Wheelus in 1979. Shortly thereafter in 1980, the church was officially chartered with 100 members. Through the years God has blessed the members of Grace.
We now have a nationally recognized day school with several hundred children.
We have a 75-voice youth choir who lead us in worship at our contemporary service.
We have a full staff of professional pastors, educators, musicians and administrators.
We have a full adult choir who lead us in worship at our traditional service.
We have a beautiful sanctuary with a unique architectural style.
We have mutliple worship services in multiple styles.
We have two bilingual services (Brazilian and Iranian) every Sunday.
We have multiple mission trips both in and out of the country every year.
We think of ourselves as a "right size" church in that we are not a mega-church but we offer tremendous programs for all ages. We have earned the "Best Place to Worship in West Plano" by the Dallas Morning News survey for several years in a row. You will not feel overwhelmed in our beautiful sanctuary and you will find many opportunities to learn and fellowship in small group settings.
We are a family.
In January of 2009 we called Reverend Bryan Stamper to be our new Senior Pastor. Bryan is a dynamic speaker with a lot of energy and soon after his arrival we began experiencing significant growth in our membership. So much growth has occured in these months, that we now offer a monthly New Member Seminar for folks interested in joining Grace.
