The scriptures remind us that music is a wonderful invention of God. The Music Ministry of Grace Presbyterian Church provides a program of graded choirs that gives people of all ages an opportunity to grow in faith and in Christian leadership through music. It is a comprehensive program that prepares our children, youth, and adults for a lifetime of service to God and the Church. We seek to create beauty and inspiration as we lead in worship. We believe that music is a very effective tool in teaching Christianity and the Scriptures, and that the music of the Church is an offering to the Glory of God.
The choir experience includes the teaching of the great hymns and anthems of the Church, skills in singing and music reading, and special activities of fellowship and service. Each of our choirs is open to and encourages new members, both the greatly experienced and the dedicated and sincere beginner. The only qualification is a true desire to be of service to God and the Church.
Adults can participate in the Sanctuary Choir which sings at our 11 o'clock service, the Festival Singers who join the Sanctuary Choir for special concerts, and the Grace Notes, a hand bell choir.
The youth of our church play a dynamic role in the life of the church. Music provides a wonderful entry point into the heart of the church - worship. What a pleasure it is to watch young men and women developing their faith through music. Music is one of the strongest means of expressing our love for God and for each other.
What could be more important in the development of our children than encouraging them to experience the joy of singing the praises of God? When children sing, there is a freshness that is brought to our worship and a joy, and sense of peace, is instilled in each singer and listener.
